A brief run-down of the absolute basics of teamwork which everyone should know;
Stay close - Your squad gives you ammo, gives you health/revives and watches your back. In order to reap these benefits you need to be close enough to receive help, and give help when needed. For something so simple, it's surprisingly rare.
Squad spawning - Remember the days of BF2/2142 when the only member of the squad you could spawn on was the squad leader? Since you can now spawn on any member of your squad, people seem to have forgotten just how important that role was. It's now all too easy for a squad to become fragmented by spawning on different people, so it's a good idea to pick 1 person in the squad an spawn solely on them. It's much easier to do this by selecting the name in the squad list rather than clicking on the green arrows on the map;

It's also a good idea for the 'squad leader' to hide and provide cover/spot enemies while his squad takes an objective. There's a billion benefits to this and we all used to do it in previous BF games. It still applies now.
Squad orders - I'll be damned if I can figure out what the criteria is for who can give orders. A squad needs an order to keep co-ordination. So it's good practise for all the members of the squad to spam that Q button until something happens.
Spot stuff - How hard is it to spot something? If every member of your squad done this, you'll half your number of deaths.
Attack together - I'm a big fan of the 'rush' mentality. When attacking a flag, wait for the rest of your squad to spawn and attack together. Trickling onto a flag 1 at a time is far less effective. Likewise, if an enemy tank has an engineer repairing it, firing 3 rockets simultaneously will kill it instantly, giving the tank driver no opportunity to return fire.
Videos - Just a couple of informative vids I've found highly useful, especially the one about the tracer dart.
