I didnt install from the dvd, just put the cd key into steam and downloaded it.

If you have a disc unless as stated theres a specific reason why would you then download it. The difference for me was 5min as opposed to 3 hours.

BC2 vietnam is out next month so will probably be back on the BC2 server before the lease runs out

Because I'm not in the EU and the game is over £25 so I'll get stumped for VAT and import duties and end up paying more than if I bought it here in the first place :p

Jock: The whole point was buy and send the disk to someone in the UK and then they could just send me the key so I could download it, instead of waiting for them to repackage it and send it to me via snailmail

So I'll find the cheapest UK supplier then and send it to a mate, who can send me the CD key - cheers for the info guys

Of course there is always the chance that I'll be itching to play this weekend so will end up just buying it on Steam... We'll see.

I couldn't wait, managed to buy it in £ on Steam using a combination of proxy and English credit card saved a tenner on the €uro price anyway...
