thoughts on bf bc2 beta

i got up at stupid oclock to see wot game was like and played for about an hour.
i think i was lucky i got on a server with no lag game for one, looked great and on my setup played very smoothly. i only played as assault. the vehicles were much the same as other bf games ie the atb was like the buggy . but that said it was very good for getting behind and outflanking fast .tank was much the same as well ie in the other bf games .i think i destroyed more trees with it than enemy soldiers.the assault soldiers weopen was nice and accurate ,well it seemed to be for me . i somehow managed to finish 2nd in the scoring in one game ! only trouble i had was when i got to target a or b i didnt know wot to do and no amount of key presses seemed to do anything? so any help here would be appreciated.
so after a quick game i was easily impressed wot do my fellow bfb-ers think?

Only played for about 15mins after getting up this morning and finding my download had completed.

A little bit undecided at the moment, the eye candy is nice and I like parachuting into battle, the weapon select seems a bit slow, oh and everyone seems to want to be a sniper.

Also finished second in my game

Managed to get lag free game on a French server this morning and it ran very well to be honest, FPS was at a constant 60 (I have manual vsync on all the time on my PC now so 60 is all I ever get).

Fallen in love with the PKM but the m24 is also very nice. I think once EA have got their servers to cope and sorted the lag and crash bug with the server browser we'll be onto a winner.

I can see me playing it when it is released but for all the nice gfx and new modes it alright nothing special.

True red, it's classic battlefield gameplay IMO. And seeing as BF was popular because of its 64player servers I don't think this will be as much of a replacement for BF2 as people think.

Having said that the destructible environment is very cool, I'm sure once we get a few people on in a squad it'll be as fun as 2142 was

Bah, do you ever have anything positive to say any more redders what was everyone expecting from this? also..It's only 1 small map and it's a beta! Like Munster said, it will be much better when everyone squads up properly on our own server!

With 32 players it seems chaotic enough anyway. Map seems to be inbetween the sizes of Battlefield 2 and Modern Warfare 2, which I think is quite good.

After playing Modern Warfare 2 for so long, it took some getting used to, but I can see myself enjoying the full game very much. Find it very fun. After 2 or 3 hours Bad Company 2 really grows on you.

I was mega cheesed off last night, as the games were laggy etc, and it was really horrible >_<.

Anyway, I've played it again today, and I'm loving it. It feels like Classic BF and I'm really really enjoying it . I can't wait for the final game !!!! If you tried it yesterday, make sure you try it today as the servers are much smoother now .

Yeah same here anime - last night the 'play now' button was putting me in US servers and I was lagging a bit in the one game I managed to get into.

This morning however it put me into a French server then a multiplay UK server - much better experience.

I find it slow paced to be honest. It really needs a 64 player option and then stick it on shipment and then put free-for-all.

And where in gods name is the nade spamming?
