Buy BC2 from Steam, get into Beta, after Beta cancel Pre-Order

So basically, there's nothing stopping you buying it off steam, playing the beta and then cancelling the pre-order and buying a boxed copy .

I don't see peoples problem with steam to be honest.

I will say one thing though - we know how steam handles MASS downloads - i.e not well. So if your planning to download the beta from steam within the first day of it being available then I say good luck to you

Yeah see what your saying they never are competitive with non valve games.

If you think steam's to expensive (which it is imho) just buy from play for £26.99, it may not be the Limited edition but who cares about some old 1942 style guns anyway.... and the other unlocks should be available to you within a days play if your any good.

It certainly wouldn't surprise me if company's revoked beta keys or made it a lot harder to get refunds for people as they might package the beta key and product together saying you've already used part of the product ie the Key and cant refund you.

I have, i dont mind steam as a program but dont buy too much from them due to the price. and not bothered about getting some extra unlocks.

For anyone not in the beta (me) if you do get it from game you get 7 not 6 unlocks. for anyone who cares. you get the AK 74U although if you look at GAME it does not say it. But on the Ea BFBC2 site go to pre order and GAME and it shows at the bottom. As far as i know steam does not offer this just to let you all know.

if play are doing beta aswell, you could do the same with them or just keep the game and have a hard copy.

I think the best place to get this game is steam they offer the limited addition and beta but it is £10 more. I am just sticking with GAME as i get 7 unlocks not 6 from steam. Also with my internet i am not downloading a game this big and i want lots of unlocks lol.
