I guess DX10 will make it run like poo then on my rig!
Yup, my FPS was dropping below 60 in intense battles/ cuscenes and the game felt too laggy/ choppy in places. Saying that my dx version was set to auto (didnt edit it at all) and i have a dx 11 enabled card so the game may be using dx 11 (hence low fps).

Also im currently using the ati catalyst 10.2 drivers so will update to 10.3 (as goredwings suggested) when the full game is out later this week and post further feedback.

I think the main thing is multiplayer performance as that will inevitably be more important in replayability/ number of hours spent..

1mm3>the game is defaulting like you suspected to Dx11 card as you have both a dx11 compliant gfx card and OS. I quickly just did the config tweak to change it to 9 to test. You will squeeze more performance out of oyur setup if you try that. but be warned you lose a lot of nice graphcal touches. I was getting stupid framerates but I couldn;t stand the look of it. Maybe dx 10 may be a better compromise between looks and performance. You might also want to turn bloom off. In the beta it seem to free up some FPS but when I tried I didn't really notice a difference to be honest in this final release of the game.

you could try res dropping or setting the shadows to Low to free up some more FPS while relatively maintaing high levels of eyecandy. Whatever seems to fit your criteria on how it looks and acceptable framerates.

If you have the Black edition then you should be able to clock the 5850 to 5870 levels and beyond. I am not sure if the 10.3's will help all that much. It was more about Dirt 2 performance. never tried the 10.2's only 10.1 and these ones of the catalyst 10 series drivers.

Please keep posting your performance feedback as there are only a small handful of ATI card users here and I would think it would help. Predominantly BFB is Nvidia based. There is probably about under 10 members here who use ATI cards to play games mainly.
