    right i used to have an ixus 90 is and i loved it, great little camera and gave ace pictures, but while drunk on new year my girly lost it..........i was dressed as a cowboy with inflatable horse with in built pumping mech.............it was ace and no pics to show for it..........booooh!

    hey ho, here is the 2 contenders for replacements - but which one, please help?? tey both seem similar priced and similar specced?

    You want to buy a Panasonic Lumix TZ7! It's what I have, takes amazing pics and it's gone down £100 since I bought mine!!

    arrrh well my girly has a lumix and they are good, but i prefer the lens on the ixus as the macro is surprisingly good for a compact, just not sure which is better on the above versions

    Looks to me like the 120 is just thinner and lighter, and other than a few other tiny differences (very slightly smaller min aperture, 1cm further focus distance, tiny bit smaller screen) they are pretty much identical. Might be just a case of "how it feels" in your hands that decides it for you.

    They even have an identical RRP - so I'm not sure what Canon's plan is here... Maybe it really is just a differing style thing.
