5770 runs Crysis with everything at high, though I tend to play on DX9 as it performs far better and the visual difference (compared with DX10) is minimal Bad Company 2 looks better than Crysis in my opinion anyway, and Crysis is badly optimised. I game on a relatively small screen, at 1366x768. This is why the 5770 performs so well for me, as the memory bandwidth bottleneck is increasingly pronounced as resolution climbs. At 1440x900, I think you'll be mightily impressed with the 5770.

I'm not sure if you meant to write it, but it looks like you've written a 5770 card and then a 5570 card. The 5770 is FAR superior - get that because 5570 crossfire would probably be nowhere near as good as one 5770. Both cards are DX11 but will play all games on DX9, 10 or 11 - which ever settings you want to choose.

Another reason I wouldn't go for 2 cards is because without knowing what motherboard you have, there is no guarantee that it supports crossfire. If it doesn't, that would render one of the cards completely useless. Having two graphics cards doesn't work just like that - you have to have a motherboard that supports Crossfire for ATI cards, SLI for Nvidia cards, or both.

I'd get a 5770 on your budget, good value for money.

Get a 5770 now, which will still play most games high+ and in a year or two times, sell it and get a next gen card, so a ATI 6*** series etc..

    Thats what I do anyway.

I went Nvidia 6800>7800>8800>gtx275 and now my next upgrade is the new Nvidia Fermi cards which are coming out in the next 6 months, or so I'm told.

I tried going SLI and didn't find it all that great. In this day and age, a top end single card is still able to play games high. Just not maxed out.
