    New Case!

So, in the near future I'm gonna be looking for a new PC case. I love my current CoolerMaster Stacker 831 but it's not the most sound-proof, it's bulky as hell and it's quite frankly a mess.

Fingers crossed I'll be off to Uni in a few months so I want a case & fans that are as close to silent as humanly possible. TBH this is the most important thing for me, not even surpassed by the performance of the actual PC because I am getting so pissed off with my PC sounding like a concorde taking off and keeping me awake at night when I leave it on.

Budget is as close to £100 as possible, but I am open to suggestions above that limit if the case really warrants it that much and is going to last.

Priorities, in order from highest to lowest: Quietness, size, looks, cable management, preferably windowed.

RE size, as small as possible but again I'm open to suggestions if the case really is that good. Since I'll probs be taking it to and from Uni I'd like something that is easily transportable, but I'm not too bothered as I'm used to doing things the hard way and I want something really good this time.

Been eyeing up the Silverstone Fortress FT02B-W for a while if I can get the monies because it's soooo sexy. I'd prefer not to spend anywhere near that much though if I can get something just as good or even better for a lower price. The Silverstone Raven RV02 looks great as well, although the hard drive cage and stuff puts me off as it looks very fiddly like with my current case which is a nightmare.

So come on gorks, do your thaaang

A really really really nice case. My only gripe with this was the cooling wasn't too great (not good enough to house an i7), but then they went and brought out this new one with top mounted fans. Ticks all your boxes dude, including the window for a little extra clicky clicky

Ah weets I remember you posting pics of that case ages ago, I've looked at it a few times since but totally forgot about it! The new version looks fantastic, I'll definitely give that one a good look.

With the cooling, was it not good enough for a stock i7?? Or just oc'ed? I am a compulsive overclocker and possibly looking for an i5 or cheap i7 soonish so that's a bit of a concern. Although I'm sure the new version of that case is more than adequate with that amount of fans.

EDIT > just noticed, are both those B25 cases you linked the same, except one is the best part of £30 more for a Window & black interior?!

Thanks sinny! I really don't like the Raven 3 though - it looks wayyyyy too space-age and all plastic-y and tacky. Loads of cheap bits hanging off it.

I know the Raven 2 is predominantly plastic on the outside, but at least it's a nice smooth design.

I rofl'd at the FT03.... it looks like a bin ffs! Uuuuuuugly! The TJ11 is sexy as hell... but tbh it looks like it's the size of my house. I could live in that thing... actually that's a good way to save money on Uni accomodation

    What about a HAF 932 ?
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=CA-157-CM

You can change/remove hard drives very easily, it has a good cable management, it's quite large, not too expensive, but it doesn't have a window and I don't know about the noise ... But I've got a HAF 922 with more or less the same fans and it's more than acceptable.

I'm staying away from Cooler Master, dino

Plus, that case is uuuuugly! I can't imagine it being anywhere near silent either. I had looked at it in the past but it's not really my cup of tea.

Meh, I like the design of my 922 ... But it looks better than the 932 imo.

I had the RV01 and it was utterly colossal, although without a great deal of space inside.
