Hey y'all, I broke my headset coming back from uni on the train so I need a new one! Any recommendations? Budget around £40 i guess, but the cheaper the better!

    Cheers

I have the Creative Fatal1ty ones. I stood on them and snapped them a while back but a bit of sellotape did the job nicely and they still work perfectly. I've had them for about a year and a half.

My only concern with them is that they feel very flimsy. However, the sound quality is pretty good, decent bass for listening to music too, and they are comfy to wear even after long periods of time (5-6 hours really before I get a bit fed up with them).

They fit the ear nicely and have plenty of padding on the top of the head and around the ears. Again, a minor complaint but not one that particularly bugs me is that they do not block out external noise very well when gaming.

The mic is handy as it can be unplugged when not needed, and it can be bent into pretty much any shape you need. It seems to pick up sound pretty well as I can have it 2-3 inches from my mouth and still be heard easily.

The cable is pretty long which is handy, and it has a volume control on it about half a metre down from the headset, and a mic on/off switch.

i've had mine 3-4 years now, they've survived 2 house moves, been run over countless times, had my two year old rag them about at every given oppertunity, dunked the mic in wine a few times and they are still working fine so build wise i can not fault them.

I agree with Vexx & Co... Creative Fatal1ty, but the leak alot... so if you have someone sensitive in the room, like GF/Wife or Mom... I'd buy something else...

creative fetality are ok but nowt special and it didnt help that the first 2 headsets we recieved were faulty, 1st had a fault in the cable between the volume control and jack, 2nd unit had a faulty mic, tbh i have had £9.99 ones from argos that are just as good. also there not the realy that comfortable compared to my steel series headset
