Reducing the number of players to start the server.

Been a bit of talk about this lately but for my ten pence worth i would like it to be a 1 player start if possible.

we'd get people in the servers training on heli's and jets and at least we would have traffic on the server to kick start it.

Currently the 8 player start just discourages people from wanting to be the first on there and hanging around for ages for it to start when they could be playing.

Would like to see what the community thinks about this and get it back on track.

I think it would be good. As well as making the server an increasing max players overtime.

When empty it's an 8-player server, when that is reached it automatically goes to a 16-player etc up to 64. I know this is possible since I've seen quite a few servers that work this way.

I personally think it's a good idea. Sometimes it takes hours to get enough people together to start the servers with the current 8 player minimum. Obviously it's not up to me to make the decision, however

Great shout. Seeing as I'm busy with exams and uni work, I don't really have the time/patience to wait around on the servers for half an hour while they get started, I'm sure others feel the same way. 1-player-start would combat this. It'd also be good to be able to mess around when there's only a couple of you on the server, like you could on 2142

This was already discussed. Only problem we seem to be missing Weetabix and his the one he said he will work on it when "he gets back" or something iirc
