I dont really need to train him as such, he is eager to repeat anything he hears off me more than once and he picks things up almost straight away. For instance if I put my coat on he'll say 'Gotta go work' or 'Going to the shops' then say 'cya later'. or if i yawn he will say goodnight.

He puts his foot up like a gun and makes the sounds of cocking a shotgun and firing it a few times that's really good.

That is just so cool, it amazes me how parrots can do that! Although by the sounds of it yours is pretty smart

You should teach him how to make the sound of a burglar alarm in case your house gets broken in to

Ive always wanted a parrot, few things have stopped me how ever. when i lived at home, my mum **** scared of birds, also where i live now no pets, and they not cheap. Though when i move to my new place im tempted. How are they to keep? Any harder than any other birds apart from bigger and need more cleaning and food?

If you are looking for a new sig ill give it a go

They say a Parrot owns you and it's kinda true. They're nto very noisy although they do have a couple of sessions of talking to themselves and whistling some tunes a couple of times a day. I buy a big bag of exotic feed for £5 which lasts 2-3 weeks and all i do is take the tray out and swap a black bag over to clean.

They do like company though, Kaan is out of his cage 95% of the time i'm home and will either chill out on me or on top of the door, they're pretty good at entertaining themselves although that's usually with something of yours getting torn up or chewed lol he can whilstle a few tunes, star wars, match of the day, superman and a few others.

Takes a while to toilet train them so it's a eyar of cleaning bird poop up! though you can tell when they're about to go. Mine is trained to go in 1 place where i have papers but he doesn't always remember!

Saying that I wouldn't sell him for anything, he's like my kid. You can have conversations with them (upto a point) and they're intelligence shows by how naughty they can be! Great company and loves to play, likes to be swung around or play tug of war.

He will eat anything i'm eating as well as his own too! spaghetti, chinese, pizza he loves it all. He has to have his own little plate or he wont stop raiding my plate!
