Well I read that if you complain to logitech that something on your logitech item has broken that they'll give you 50% off voucher if your aoutside of warranty.

So just done that as my thumb button barely works now on the mx518 and gonna see what response I get. Maybe 50% will make the g400/500 better value. Amazing if they do.

otherwsie I might plump for the cyborg rat 7 as well. Its a bit funky but if i'm hvaing to spend 50+ then might as well go the whole way. Plus can't argue over 10-15 quid when i'm putting £60+ of fuel in my car each week just to get to work.

Logitech are usually good i had a webcam that was playing up slightly so contacted them a few month ago and they just sent me out a direct brand new replacement worth £50.

They actually do an offical 20% off for recycling your old logitech products. But would rather have 50% off for faulty product. G500 lookings nice for 35quid if thats the case.

The good deal is when you send them your product under warranty, and when they don't make them any more. So they send you the latest version. (I had a G25 for my G25, but I know someone who sent his G25 2 weeks after mine and he recieved a G27. Lucky bastard ! :p)
