    BFG RMA status

    Hi All,

My BFG 8800GT card went pop a month ago (hence no lard bashing on BC2 for a while) - amazingly BFG have a lifetime warranty (though it's 2 years if non registered on purchase, I really should make myself register stuff when I buy it!)

Works really well, though the free call tel number is in the states so I used Skype to call them - sent the card in at the beginning of this month to an address in Wales but no card back yet,

Anyone used BFG RMS before? I'm wondering if they will be giving me a 8800GT card back or if they will send me a 200 series - as interweb says that there are serious issues on the 8800 series so this is likely to go pop again,

Also fed up of waiting now, missing BC2 and really hating my onboard VGA card now - anyone else used their RMA and how long it took?

Sorry to hear that Lard. Redders probably has the most experience with RMAs here and I'm sure he'll have some choice words to say about who to avoid etc. Hope they sort it out soon.

BFG RMA's are very very good. THey have been cases where they have replaced 8800gtx's with 280gtx's.

Their use to be a RMA center for BFG in cardiff. But as some may know or no know BFG Europe has gone bust.

This might possibly mean your card will have to RMA'ed to the states possibly.

Cheers guys - they first advised to send back to states and I asked for a I'm address so it went to Cardiff - still waiting but assume it's gone to the states - certainly all correspondence is with the us

I'm hopeful it will be a new 200 series card as t'internet is abound with the same issue on a mix of manufacturers 8800's so would make sense to swap out a known faulty platform - but have been really pleased with it so far so won't be upset if it's the same model again - just sucks that they are out of the gpu game - or is that eu only?
