    BFB Fight the flab club 2012

    Anyone else interested?

    Just weighed myself 18st 8 so my first target is to get under 16st come my birthday on March 31st which is doable. My ultimate target is to get to 14st. Will be doing lots of bike rides and walking / running to achieve this and some weights.

    If anyone has a android phone theres a neat app called "endomondo" which works as a gps tracker that maps and times each walk,run or bike ride you do and tells you your average speed,distance and calories burnt.

    It also gives you a news feed of all the exercising that your friends have done so you can keep track on them, only me and Saundie are signed upto this so far.

    Next weigh in will be Monday 9th.

    I'm in. My goal is to get down to 161lb from my current weight of 188lb. I aim to achieve this by April, via the power of cycling. Here is my first ride of the year;

    320lbs. Goal is to lose 8lbs a month. Want to drop 100lbs in a year. Have a friend who did exactly that the last year and he is going to help me through this.

    THRUSHER67; I was 330lb (23 stone 8lb) at my peak in July 2009, got down to 287lb by November of that year, then I went all out and got down to 177lb in August i.e. 110lb in 9 months. Losing 12lb a month is ****, and I would strongly recommend going much slower. Without wanting to sound like a prick, most people lack the required willpower to stick to such extreme measures.

    Anyway, that aside, I found walking every day to be instrumental in the weight loss process. I started off walking about a mile, working up to 13 miles before I switched to cycling. Cycling to work has helped me not gain even more weight than I have.

    Well i'm doing some serious fitness as of next week, the goal being for a charity rugby match/school re-union in March. Aint played rugby since school and aint done fitness in years so I want to last at least more than 5 mins.

    I'm 14.5 atm and need to lose about 1.5 stone, but tbh its more about fitness than weight. If i was still the same weight but able to last a game of rugby like the good ole days ill be happy.

    Though dont have android to install the app.

    Biggest change for me will be a large reduction on booze, that alone will probably make a fair difference.
