  • Teamspeak 3 Setup Guide

    Due to lazy developers, some games don't have built-in VOIP (I'm looking at you Bad Company 2). Luckily, a smart 3rd party app called Teamspeak comes to their rescue. I shall now dispense the know-how necessary to install the afore mentioned software and connect to the BFB server, in a well formatted and punctuated manner.

    Firstly, you'll need to head on over to the Teamspeak website and hit the big green 'download' button. Once completed, go ahead and run the installer.

    Make a note, mentally or with crayons, where the program is installed as you'll need this later. When it's finished installing a nifty little set-up wizard will appear thusly;

    It's pretty self-explanatory, but the two first pages are the most important.

    Nothing complicated here, just pick a name and type it in.

    Now this chap is important. It's imperative that you select 'Push-To-Talk'. There's nothing worse than listening to a hundred-a-day smoker trying his best to rid himself of a lung.

    Instead of being in bed, snuggled in a post-coital coma with my beloved, I spent my night placing a handy little icon on the home page. Bear this in mind when rating this article. You should click this icon now.

    Upon clicking the icon, you will be presented with another window. This is because the icon isn't a standard web link and your browser doesn't know what to do with it. You must instruct it to open with Teamspeak. This is where the installation path I told you to remember comes in.

    Click on 'choose' and navigate to the installation folder. Select the Teamspeak client and click 'Open'.

    To avoid having to do this every time you click the icon, tick the 'Remember' box and hit 'OK'

    Et voila.

    Now the next time you log into BFB, all you need to do is click that icon.
