Laptop for my Dad - Review sites wanted

OK so my Dad's laptop looks like its on its last legs and if I can't bring it back to life then he's going to need a new one.

I'm not really looking for what people have bought although please feel free to give recomendations, I'm more after any decent review sites which people havecome across during their searches.

I have a couple I'll check but always good to know if anyone seens one where they've recently compared a bunch of laptops against each other.


The laptop will only be used for light internet browsing and office work - absolutely no gaming.


I'm thinking £400-500 would be his budget, with a preference to be closer to £400.

Though we've just bought a new laptop for my mum just recently. The HP G62 (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-g62-107sa-04753071-pdt.html) for £400 and it's a very good, capable 15" laptop (if your dad can stand the styling that is). It's got 2GB of RAM, an i-3 cpu (2.13Ghz) and a dvd drive. I'd recommend going down to PC World and playing around with one since it's definitely great value for money!
