View Full Version : BitComet and Wireless
When I'm downloading for long periods of time using BitComet and I'm not actively using the internet (apart from BC) after a while I get disconnected from the internet and windows is unable to display any available networks to connect to without restarting my PC, in which case it auto-connects to the default network again.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why its doing this?

yes, if you are using win7, then this is a problem with your driver. I had something similar with 3 win7 builds now and it was all because of the drivers. if it isnt win7, then i am not sure.
I'm not using win7, yet. Though if my bday present arrives on time I should be using it by the end of the day.

could still be the drivers. also try maybe reducing the connections allowed in your settings. Usually what crashes these things is the inability of the card and/or driver to handle so many simultaneous connections. This is also how I can detect when someone is using torrents or other dl services at work. Normal usage does not establish that many connections, only dl'ing does. Could also be your router firewall disconnecting you, not too likely but possible.
